some women are  allergic to women
some would rather have
just one woman
not a dozen

tuck it behind one ear
and make you chew on
the thorny stem

some women will take one sniff
and throw their women away
some will keep their women hydrated
in a vase for days

some women will leave their women to decay
on a windowsill
some will never
get their fill of women

there are many kinds of flowers
as well as many kinds of women
I can tell Forsythia from Winter Jasmine
I can tell you from her

but I cannot tell a woman
from a flower
